TJ Wolfe - Headshot Portraits in Austin, TX

TJ Wolfe is an author, political activist, member of the Human Rights Campaign and Equality Texas. She recently published Unwanted Heart and wanted some new headshots. TJ will tell you she's not good at taking photos, but the images below lead me to disagree. She has the warmest smile and a personality that shows through the images. It was truly a pleasure working with TJ - and a special shout out to Red Horn for letting us shoot in their space. Lalo & Sarah - Lifestyle Portraits - Cute Dogs and Playing Games

I feel extremely fortunate to have meet Lalo & Sarah - they are some of the most down to earth, friendliest people I know. I went to their house to capture a typical night in for the two of them - playing games, making drinks, petting dogs (Chester and the appropriately named Texas). It's all you could want in a lifestyle portrait session. Click to enlarge.

Tim & April - Doctor Who Inspired Wedding and Portraits

Every time I spend some time with Tim & April, I like them more - we share a love of vegan ice cream for starters - so I was super excited to capture their wedding. Tim & April got married in an intimate ceremony on January 1, 2016 at the Institution Theater.

Their ceremony was personal, sweet and incredibly unique. The opening was filled with references to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Doctor Who, Firefly, Star Trek and more. April is a musician and she performed a very sweet Snow Patrol cover. Afterwards, friends and family feasted on the most delicious of kolaches, punch (complete with Tardis ice cubes) and other goodies.

A few months later, we got together at the Blanton to capture portraits that weren't possible on their big day. Click to enlarge.

Jess & Erica - Lifestyle Engagement Photo in the Capitol of Texas

Jess & Erica joined me on a sunny morning to do the first half of their engagement photos near the Capitol building in Austin. We explored Congress Street and found little bits of Texas history and giant colorful murals. We got coffee at Royal Blue and spent the morning talking about comedy, movies and Angelina Eberly.

Travis & Kera - Colorful Engagement Session on South Congress

Travis & Kera fit so naturally together that it's hard to imagine they were ever not a couple. They laugh at the other's jokes before the words are even out and instinctively seem to know what the other is thinking. It was a joy to spend the morning with them on South Congress - and you can feel the happiness radiating from these photos.
